THE OTHER DAY, I brought your attention to the RETRONAUT’S amazing collection of behind-the-scenes photos from THE PLANET OF THE APES.
BUT I NEGLECTED TO OBSERVE that in this particular photo (above), Dr. Zaius is reading a biography of MARK TWAIN.
SPECIFICALLY: this one. which won the Pulitzer prize in 1967:
COULD IT BE THAT, in 1967, Zaius-portrayer Maurice Evans was planning to take down Hal Holbrook once and for all with an ALL-ZAIUS “MARK TWAIN TONIGHT?”
IF NOT, then why, why, WHY, WHY ON PAST OR FUTURE EARTH NOT? Look how close Holbrook was to Zaius already!
THE FIRST AND BEST TO PROVIDE TO ME video of Maurice Evans doing Zaius doing Twain, whether FOUND FOOTAGE or NEWLY CREATED FOOTAGE will get a personally signed copy of MY BOOK and something else from my survival bunker that I will determine later.
